Incredible Revelation
Revelations chapter 5
What John saw that day....What John heard that day....it must have blown him away. As you read these questions try to see what he saw and try to hear what he heard.
What does it look like to see 7 eyes and 7 horns on a slain lamb?
What does a slain lamb look like?
What does one MIGHTY angel look like?
What was the sound when John heard this angel proclaiming? Remember in Isaiah 6? When the 2 angels called out one to another, the posts of the door shook at the voice of him who spoke and the house was filled with smoke. It did not describe those as being mighty! But the one in Revelations 5 is described as one MIGHTY angel.
These 24 elders sit on 24 thrones.....yet they fall down (perhaps out of their chair) and worship the Lamb!
What did it look like to see the lamb surrounded by ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands upon thousands of angels plus 4 creatures, and 24 elders? John actually hears the sound of the voices of this vast number of living beings!!
One of the elders spoke to John at the beginning of this chapter! He tells him not to weep and tells him to look at the Lion of the tribe of Judah, but John saw a lamb looking as if it had been slain.
What a day! And what an impact on the life of generation after generation and upon the life of a man simply named John.
